State of Emergency - RM of De Salaberry

The RM of De Salaberry has called a state of emergency for St. Malo & area.

The RM of De Salaberry has issued a State of Local Emergency (SoLE) concerning the risks associated with flooding for all points and properties along the Rat River and Joubert Creek. It is recommended that where possible, that equipment and/or furniture that could be at risk should be moved to higher ground.

At this time, evacuation is voluntary, however recommended.

If you are in the affected areas, be watchful of local waterways as flooding is likely to or is occurring.  Do not attempt to cross fast flowing waters or water of an unknown depth.  Care should be taken to avoid all flooded areas until the water has receded.

Please follow all directions given by local authorities, listen to updates and take all necessary precautions to stay safe.

This SoLE is in effect for 30 days or until rescinded.
